As usual, crystal clear, Adam!

Excellent conversation Adam. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your use of the immune system metaphor. As we all become more exposed to the various challenges to our democracy by the Trump regime, our responses are becoming more robust and effective.

Roberts, at his confirmation hearing said that he would be like an umpire when on the court--calling balls and strikes. Well, as an umpire he would be a disaster on any baseball court, rather like a one-man band that couldn't shoot straight. He is so dedicated to pleasing trump as is his other 5 that they cannot see that awarding Alabama with the new voting map is actually in direct opposition to their position inVirginia where Democrats would have benefited, even though in Virginia the citizens themselves chose a new map in plenty of time for the election. It is a sad day when the highest court in the land is corrupted by politics and we can do nothing about it except voice our opinion.

Yes, Beryl. And they ignored their own fairly recent precedent - without bothering to give any justification - regarding the inarguable illegality of the Alabama map. The corruption may not be just politics: I think they were all added to Vlad's payroll by the grifting pedophile, although Clarence may have gotten on there already years before.

So helpful to understand the deep dysfunctional reality at the DOJ due to corruption. Trump is systematically destroying our country.

My 2 favorite substacks are by the AKs: Adam Klasfeld and Adam Kinzinger. And they thoroughly understand the evils of 47, but I refrain from calling them the AK47s for obvious reasons.

How it is that brilliant legalists* John Sauer and Yaakov Roth - both are professed men of “faith” - can live with themselves as they ply their vocation in the destruction of American democracy is beyond my ability to comprehend. Why? Do I lack sufficient "faith"? Or, do I subscribe to the wrong brand of faith? A brand not sanctioned by the State.

*A legalist is someone who strictly adheres to the law or rules, often prioritizing the literal "letter of the law" over its spirit, intent, or practical context.
