I work for a major social service research firm and we are currently working on a major study for the Federal Reserve Board. Mr. Powell and his staff are penultimate professionals and what the Orange Man is doing is a travesty.
"Healing will not occur if events are either forgotten or distorted, and hence it is important to continue to search for the truth behind the events of May 4 at Kent State... most importantly, May 4 at Kent State should be remembered in order that we can learn from the mistakes of the past. The Guardsmen in their signed statement at the end of the civil trials recognized that better ways have to be found to deal with these types of confrontations."
Thank you Pam for your post! I remember that horrible day well. The Ohio National Guard should never have been there! Some of the students that were murdered were not even involved in the protest, they were simply walking to their next class. I was gutted and heartbroken. To this day I still listen to the CSN&Y song they created because of this tragedy and it brings back the same heartbreak and tears I felt on that day.
I was part of an ICE OUT FOR GOOD gathering today.
My sign stated, "NO TAX DOLLARS FOR ICE VIOLENCE" which I think covers not only the tragic killing of Renee Good, but also the on-going violence against detainees and our communities.
More projection and utter irony that t would accuse anyone of misleading about the extent of any renovation, given his own went so far as complete destruction before getting as much as a permit much less approval.
Noem is such a loser.She thinks that big hat makes her the law. Reality , she hiding because she knows everyone hates and despises her. Or she now wishes she only killed dogs and maybe a few unruly horses! I bet her kids listen!
