That's basically what I came here to say - happy to add it to your post! The other thing I'd like to comment on is this: "One grand juror asked Mecklenberg whether prosecutors could charge misdemeanors without them, and she replied that how the government proceeded wasn’t the jury’s concern."
Wow!! I hope that juror was as indignant about that response as I was! Perhaps she skipped the ethics classes in law school ... I was what M. Popok would call a 'teachable moment'.
Adam, thank you for providing the details of this corrupt mess. You’ve really fleshed out what a travesty this “case” is. Most of us non-lawyers don’t have a clear understanding of how the grand jury system is constructed or works. You shined a light on part of the justice system that is mostly a mystery to the people it serves.
Adam, this revelation is the best bad news I have read lately. It is so satisfying when the justice system reveals the truth of bad behavior. Thanks for this report.
Once again, Adam, you’ve provided an in depth backstory I haven’t seen anywhere else 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Should be 'it was a teachable moment' , and 'she' being Mecklenberg .

The continuing shenanigans of the present DOJ defy belief, so it's good to bring the details out into full sunlight. Thank you, Adam.

Thank you, Adam. Your work and reporting are excellent and fair-minded, always thorough and placing the subjects covered in valuable perspective.
Thank you, Adam! Long time fan.
The saying "shot himself/herself in the foot" is no longer accurate. These folks have managed to shoot themselves in both feet.
Thank you for bringing their disgraceful behavior into the light.
When will we know about sanctions? And what they be? Sounds like these lawyers think they can get away with anything
The Trump administration, especially the Justice Department, still doesn't understand what the rule of law is about.
