Trump trying to intimidate is why he is there. I ask then if the people that have paid large amounts of money from South Africa to come into the United States, what about their children? will they become citizens? If they born here will they become automatic citizens as they should be.

I feel like this case is a sacrificial lamb to show they're not totally corrupt, or willing to be oblivious to the obvious flaws, because why did they even give the case cert? It puts us in an awkward position, where we must be grateful for them standing their ground against a catastrophically flawed argument. I don't want to be grateful; we shouldn't have even had to endure the exchange. I feel manipulated by the whole process, and it's like the land baron tossing a few copper coins to atone for stealing food from the poor.

No, but Sotomayor made the point that the logic could allow Congress to pass a law stripping birthright citizenship retroactively.
