Adam covers it well for us.

Per Andrew Weissmann’s book - “Liar’s Kingdom: How to Stop Trump’s Deceit and Save America” - laws must be implemented here in the US to penalize politicians who knowingly lie to the public, and election liars should face criminal charges and be barred from holding public office.

I think the same penalty should be applied to those who lie to judges in court.

Lying to judges -- lying under oath -- is already a crime. It's called perjury.

Susanna, All good questions. It has been done abroad to positive effect. As for First Amendment considerations they are addressed fully by Weissmann (a storied legal mind and highly respected former DOJ attorney) in his book and interviews and reviews all free to access on the internet. I wish you luck. No lie!

How do you plan to get around the First Amendment on this? Would this apply to "politicians" in general, or just to those holding elective or appointed office? Many (most? all?) elected and appointed public officials take an oath of office. We might take a good look at what these oaths actually say, and whether there are any civil or criminal penalties for violating them.

This 6-year long "holding breath until blue” is achieved,... may work. 💙 💙

Excellent, perceptive warning, Adam.

I was glad that ABC and NBC stations did not air his speech. When he complained about that and suggested that their broadcast licenses should be revoked, he looked even weaker than if he hadn’t mentioned it. He cares more about viewer ratings and crowd sizes than he does about the American people.

He is just way too much in his own head, about himself. He seems incapable of considering others. Other than as pawns in some method that he thinks will bring him victory. There is no satisfaction in giving the people whatever it might take for better lived for them.

Loved the way you tied all these pieces together, Adam. This fire hose of misdeeds is gobsmacking in the moment but keeps coming, too much for most human brains to hold on to. Your brain seems to be an exception🤣

Excellent recap of how it all went down, Adam. I do remember the rogues' gallery of all of the false hearted characters in the initial Ukraine inquiry. And all of the amazing patriots that DJT, Giuliani and several others were willing to toss to the curb! DJT produces so much diversion, or smoke and mirrors it can be hard to remember all that we have been through with this sticker of a president.

This post is a keeper for just that reason!!

Anything coming out of the hole between the chin and the nose of trump is a lie. And this includes the words "the" and "and".

💯 I just ask “is his mouth open” then he is lying

No wonder he wanted to make himself impervious to the law. It covered past, present, and future crimes. This protection should be undone.
