Thank you, Adam.

I am still heartbroken … glad that Judge Dugan was not sentenced to any time.

Let me be clear, her case is a travesty to have reached a true bill in the first place.

Thank you for getting the word out to us so quickly. This is a reasonable decision by the judge. I feel so happy to hear that once again, the justice system works for good people.

Thank you for this report. I am so happy it turned out this way. I hope she can heal and get back to a normal life now.

Was the imposed fine an alternative mandatory punishment under the law given the jury's verdict on implied intent? It was a steep fine for someone who has a good income but not extraordinary by any means. Judge Dugan has reacted to the fine with great dignity which suggests that she acted with great dignity at the time in dispute. I hold her in great respect because she believed she was acting within the law and her authority as a judge.

This decision is just. I think the jury erred badly in its decision, which, for me, was difficult to square with Judge Dugan's actions. The justice system is poorer for her removal as a judge and her conviction was just one more stain on this country.

I wish Ms. Dugan all the best and sincerely hope that she finds a productive path forward, now that she can no longer fulfill her former role.

This administration and their true believers have made it very clear that they will go after UPPITY women (and Blacks, Latinos, Somalis) and destroy their lives (both literally and figuratively). This community has had an honest and fair judge taken from them. At least in this sentencing decision, some justice has been done. Thank you, Adam for covering this important event!

Thank goodness there was no jail time. The whole accusation was outrageous in the first place, IMO.

Adam, thank you for all the travel and work you do to keep us informed with all the chaos that Trump’s ugly, cruel and violent ICE policies drove this case. There is no happy ending, just less damaging for Judge Dugan. To add insult to injury, pedophiles run free, protected and unaccountable for their sexual abuse and rape of children.

Excellent reporting on this travesty of ICE impacting our courts with fear and negatively impacting the safety of people who depend on accessing the court system for justice. Shame, shame, shame on Bondi and Patel.

Brava.... what an outrageous waste of time and money and putting unbelievable pressure on an outstanding judge.... hell is too good for these monsters forcing their dogma ...will congress ever wake up

Adam, what would we do without your personal attention to these cases that matter so much to We, the People, who believe Judge Dugan was dealt a raw hand by this hideous regime? Thank you for following this and keeping us up to the minute. I wonder if she knows that so many of us are deeply concerned about her and this persecution she has endured.

Thank you, providence or whatever, good will, decency, honest people.

What they try to do to us does not reflect on us, but on them. They are condemned.

Good news. Rational ruling for a compassionate and fair judge.

Very happy. I do wish they could have spared the fine, which the government should pay for malicious intent.
