I just added a correction to this story. Although the voided policies referred to arrests "in or near courthouses," the policies challenged by this lawsuit specifically referred to immigration courthouses, not state or local ones. I'm continuing to research the implications of the ruling.

Can we expect the Trump administration to appeal? In my home state of California, ICE has been apprehending people who attend immigration hearings with impunity. Volunteers with NorCal Resist are working hard to provide accompaniment and protection, but face challenges from ICE.
