I’ve read/heard that Maxwell’s transfer from a max security facility to the “Club Fed” was in direct violation of sentencing requirements. I.e. against the written law. Or was it just against unwritten norms? Has her transfer ever been challenged in court or before a sentencing review panel? If not, why not?
Your question is well received. I’m furious that not only is she at ‘Club Fed’ but that she receives extraordinary perks. A puppy?, exclusive help drafting legal and other documents from the warden, special visitors accommodation and accommodations, and special (maybe outside? Meals). Here’s my recollection: At first all that was said was “that is handled by the Bureau of Prisons, we know nothing about it” (Bondi or Blanche or Leavitt). Later I saw Blanche say in a news clip that ‘it was handled by BOP and hundreds (?) of those cross my desk daily’. Sorry to be so vague. But that’s my recall. Fact check me, please!
Maxwell will "speak fully and honestly if granted clemency by President Trump.”
What I gather is that she is offering to set aside the "fully and honestly" part and lie again about Trump — or why would he grant clemency? Do she and her attorney think we're that stupid, or am I reading it wrong?
Who in their right mind would believe someone in a situation like that?
Of course, we know trump's promises can be forgotten in a moment. So, he could promise her clemency and then not do it. Course. if he reneged then she could change her story again.
trump's ego is so inflated he may think that he doesn't need her testimony anyway. If worse comes to worse he'll just go start a war with somebody.
