That the Constitution means what it says? Like the Fourteenth Amendment’s clause excluding insurrectionists from holding office? How about the Constitution meaning what it doesn’t say? You know, like presidential immunity. How quaint to think that this Court will interpret the Constitution to mean what it says when Trump needs it to mean something else.

Looking forward to your interview. It feels like this will be a big win for the constitution. SCOTUS must come through with a solid 9-0 and Trump has to accept it.

Thank you so much for sending this and lowering my blood pressure before bed time. I am comforted by the ACLU's confidence, which is really the only appropriate stance given the clarity and 150 years of precedent.

I sincerely hope and pray that your confidence is warranted. The actions of the Supreme Court recently bring me no hope. Thomas has clearly verbalized a willingness to dispense with precedent. My wishes for a strong and successful argument go with those who will be defending the case.

I have no confidence in this SCOTUS. None. Zero. Zilch. The Roberts court will be in history books with the Taney court.

I'm sort of looking forward to what strange way of reasoning, which strange way of twisting himself into a pretzel Alito will come up with.
